For more than a decade, Rebecca (Kreuser) Baer has devoted her practice exclusively to family law. She is dedicated to serving her clients with integrity, efficiency, and diligence. Rebecca is an award-winning attorney who takes the time to ensure that her clients are able to make informed decisions while maintaining dignity throughout the legal process.
A compassionate and results-driven lawyer, Rebecca will work vigorously to successfully settle your case in your best interests when possible. It is Rebecca’s philosophy that families are best served when settlement can be reached. To that end, Rebecca works well with opposing attorneys and has developed respected relationships with a network of professional experts to give her clients the best chance of avoiding the extreme stress, costs and unknowns of court, all while aggressively advocating for her own clients. Rebecca is an effective and experienced litigator when settlement cannot be reached.
After beginning her legal career in the Twin Cities, Rebecca relocated to Denver, Colorado, for five years, where she continued to build her career exclusively in the area of family law. Practicing family law in another jurisdiction allowed Rebecca to gain invaluable, unique knowledge that she has used to compliment and improve her family law practice in Minnesota. Rebecca continues to be licensed to practice law in both Minnesota and Colorado.
Rebecca graduated with honors from the University of St. Thomas, St. Paul, Minnesota. She earned her Doctorate of Law degree (J.D.) from William Mitchell College of Law, St. Paul, Minnesota. While in law school, Rebecca completed Alternative Dispute Resolution and Family Mediation Training courses. Rebecca is a qualified neutral under Rule 114 of the Minnesota General Rules of Practice.
Throughout her career Rebecca has volunteered her legal expertise to those in need, most significantly for two years with Colorado Lawyers for Colorado Veterans and for four years with the William Mitchell College of Law Pro Bono Family Law Clinic. Rebecca has also participated in pro bono legal clinics, mock trial competitions, and the William Mitchell College of Law Student Mentor program.
Rebecca grew up outside of Jordan, Minnesota, and is a graduate of Jordan High School. She now resides in Eden Prairie with her husband and their son—the biggest joy of her life.

“Rebecca Baer is an honest and trustworthy lawyer who I would recommend to family, friends and even strangers…. Rebecca gained my trust and respect quickly after meeting her. I asked questions (lots of questions), she answered. Divorce is never easy, and gets even more complicated when large assets, trusts and children are involved. Rebecca understood my situation and provided clear guidance and reasonable expectation every step of the divorce process. She took time to know me as a person, as a parent, and my children’s best interests. Rebecca is compassionate yet tough, and gets the job done. My divorce was settled within a few months, which would have never been possible without her. Thank you Rebecca, I really appreciate you!”
“I hired Rebecca for my Divorce. She heard and understood my Challenges for the Divorce and took effective measures to deescalate and resolve it amicably…. Rebecca was professional, compassionate, and knowledgeable.”
“Rebecca helped me through my child custody case. This was hands down the hardest time in my life. She was kind, caring and professional. She got me what I wanted and we were able to make compromises without going to trial.”
“[Rebecca’s] knowledge of divorce law is excellent, and also her interpersonal skills are off the charts! During the negotiations my former wife's attorney withdrew from the case and Rebecca continued with dealings between us…. I feel that it was mostly due to her personal skills that helped us settle out of court! Thank you so much!!”
“Rebecca and her staff handled our adoption proceeding. We were worried that the process would be highly stressful, complicated and expensive. After meeting with Rebecca, all of our questions and concerns were addressed and our fears faded away. Our case was handled efficiently. The paperwork was completed immediately. Both the time line and cost were in keeping with the original estimate. We received regular communications about status on our proceeding and anytime we reached out to her we received responses right away. We honestly had a great experience, have no complaints and got the outcome we hoped for. We would absolutely recommend her services and would use her again if ever needed.”
